Valley of 10 Peaks

About This Print

Valley of Ten Peaks was made above Moraine Lake in Banff National Park during larch season, one of the most competitive shooting windows in Canadian landscape photography, when the subalpine larches turn gold for a brief two-week period each September. James hiked up to Larch Valley at 4am to be in position before the light arrived, watching clouds move through ten ancient peaks at high altitude. The clarity and intensity of light above the treeline at sunrise has no equivalent elsewhere.

This is an open edition fine art landscape photography print, available on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm cotton rag paper, the same archival standard used by fine art galleries worldwide. Moraine Lake sits in the Valley of the Ten Peaks in Banff National Park, Alberta. Printed to collector grade, with rich autumn tones and exceptional detail in both the foreground reflection and the peak ridgelines. Open editions are not hand-signed or numbered and remain available in the shop indefinitely.
