Quiet Anticipation
About This Print
Quiet Anticipation was captured at Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park before sunrise on a flat, overcast morning, the kind most photographers pack up and leave. The water was perfectly still, the clouds sitting low over the mountains, a loon calling somewhere out in the grey. It is a deliberately understated image, and that's exactly the point. Not every beautiful landscape announces itself with drama.
This is an open edition fine art landscape photography print, available on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm cotton rag paper, the same archival standard used by fine art galleries worldwide. Lake Minnewanka is the largest lake in Banff National Park, sitting at the edge of the front ranges of the Canadian Rockies in Alberta. Printed to collector grade, with a tonal restraint that works particularly well at larger sizes. Open editions are not hand-signed or numbered and remain available in the shop indefinitely.
