A bird holds the top of a bare branch while the moon rises behind it, the whole sky washed in a soft violet. The branches fork and reach below, empty, so the eye climbs to the one place where something is alive and still.

There is a patience in it. The bird isn’t doing anything. Just watching, the way you watch a sky you don’t want to leave. It’s an image about keeping company with the quiet hours.
