Presence Collection

Two birds share a single forked branch against a sky that moves from soft mauve to warm amber. One sits high, one low, each on its own arm of the same branch, together and apart at once, with the open space between them doing as much work as the birds themselves.

It’s a quiet study of nearness. Nothing is happening, and that’s the point: two small lives holding still in the last warm light, the distance between them left for you to read however you need to.
