For seventeen years, I worked with wires, circuits, and currents as an electrician. It was a career that paid the bills and put food on the table. Yet, deep down, there was an unfulfilled dream that tugged at my heartstrings — a passion for capturing the breathtaking beauty of the world through the lens of my camera. Today, I'm excited to share my journey of leaving the world of wires behind to pursue landscape photography full-time.
My journey into the world of photography began as a hobby, an escape from the daily grind of my job. I found solace in the outdoors, where I could disconnect from the day to day grind and connect with the serenity of nature. Every time I pressed the shutter button, I felt an surge of excitement, it was therapeutic. And I felt as if I had finally found my true calling.
Deciding to switch careers after nearly two decades in the electrical industry was a daunting prospect. I had bills to pay, a family to support, and the fear of the unknown to contend with. Yet, I couldn't ignore the pull of my passion any longer. With almost no planning and very little in savings, I took the leap and embarked on the journey of a lifetime.
As I delved deeper into landscape photography, I realized the profound impact it had on my life. Each sunrise, every mountain range, and the whispering leaves in the forests became my muse. The camera was no longer just a tool; it was my gateway to capturing the essence of nature's wonders.
Transitioning from a stable career to the uncertain world of entrepreneurship comes with its fair share of challenges. I face financial insecurities, the need to constantly upskill, and the responsibility of marketing my art. But, with determination and the unwavering support of my loved ones, I push through.
Today, I stand on the precipice of a dream realized. Each photograph I take is not just a snapshot but a piece of my soul poured into the frame.
