There’s a little stream tucked away in the woods that I kept coming back to, year after year. I had this image in my head of what I wanted: soft flowing water framed by just the right autumn colors. Then finally, after four years of waiting and trying again, everything lined up. The leaves turned golden with just the right amount of yellow, the light filtered in gently through the trees, and the stream flowed quietly, exactly as I’d pictured.

I named it The Secret Stream not just because of the place, but because of the process. Some scenes reveal themselves easily. Others make you work for it. And when they finally show up, they feel even more meaningful.
