I hadn’t planned to take this shot.

It was the end of a long day out in the mountains—hours of hiking, scouting, waiting on light. I was tired, ready to head home, and honestly thought I was done shooting for the day.

Then I passed by Waterfowl Lake and had to pull over.

The sky had started to soften into those rich evening tones, and the lake was perfectly still, mirroring everything like glass. The mountains stood silent in the background, and the whole scene had this calm, unhurried energy. It felt like nature was closing the day gently.

I’m glad I stopped. Sometimes the best moments come when you least expect them.

Our signature stretched canvas with a 1.5 " depth, surrounded by a floater frame for a finished look.

The standard floater frame is 1.25" depth with a narrow 1/4" face, smooth satin with many color options available.
